If you you spend some hours on this beach during the week you'll not be disappointed but should you try it over the weekend and you might end up not having too much "space".

Best beach in Praia. Small+clean, white sand+clean cool water. I liked it a lot. It is directly in front of a nice restaurant. No worries if you need food or drink.

A fairly popular beach in the city centre, with some decent infrastructure, but not nearly as picturesque as Prainha. So my recommendation is to carry on round the coast a little further.

Small beach but its nice, black sand and most of the time windy. No service so if you want to eat or drink take it.

If you're not a fan of crowds, do avoid the weekends as the beach will be packed. When leaving the beach up the stairs you've got a choice of (new) restaurants / bars which are all good to very good.

Wasn't crowded at any time I saw it - 4 days, including a sunny weekend and a cloudy day. Not overly clean. A few bars and shops nearby, including a tiny shopping centre, which will take you 5-10 minutes to visit in full. A nice...More
