We walked 1 km south from our Hotel Residence l'Europe to see this historic mosque. It is the center of activity, across the Mini Bus Station and local market (fruit/vegetables, fresh fish, meat, and clothing). One is definitely immersed in traditional Djibouti commerce.

This is not a tourist attraction, but rather an active mosque. As such do not expect tickets and organised tours. If you are comfortable and familiar with the requisites for entering a mosque (only face and hands exposed for women and long trousers for men)...More

Located near the market area this is worth a visit for the photo opportunity. Within easy walking distance of the city centre.

its at the heart of Djibouti city market. Its is very beautiful tobe around on Friday, for the paryer day.
