Staying two nights at the Chimpanzee rehabilitation project and loved it. My wife is not really a big nature-goer, but this time we both enjoyed the stay a lot. The experience is probably the wildest thing you can have without nothing to worry about and minimal hazzle regarding the fact that we are in Gambia. The scenery is straight from... More

The Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Project is indulgent in the experience it provides those fortunate enough to book a couple of nights at its camp on the mainland. When staying there, you'll easily see extraordinarily rare and lively red colobus monkeys plunging through the trees, while seeing vervet monkeys and baboons off your foot trails. On the river cruises, you'll delight in... More

We had a wonderful day in the park although it rained constantly all day and we were soaked to the skin. Walking along the paths we saw monkeys jumping through the tree tops a variety of lizards and birds the odd creepy crawly, spiders mainly but lots of ants. there was a pool surrounded by a fence containing what I... On arrival at the project we were greeted by the friendly and welcoming manager Kelly, who showed us to our amazing safari tent, perched high on a cliff overlooking the river Gambia. A few moments later a huge troop of baboons crashed through the forest in the valley far below us, with a few climbing up into the trees, giving... More

The chimpanzee rehabilitation centre lodge is genuinely one of the most amazing places we've ever stayed. The luxury tents are perched on a cliff overlooking the jungle canopy with an incredible view of the river. We were amazed by how clean and comfortable everything was given the remote location. Fantastic staff and food too! If you come to one place... More

We rented a boat with a cook, driver and our own guide. The river is wonderfully quiet and beautiful.

We had a magical experience at the Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Project for three days, two nights. The trips out on the boat seeing lots of chimps and other wildlife were spectacular; but the best bit was sitting on the deck of the water house as the sun goes down and the wildlife settles down for the night. From the birds flying... More

It's totally wort spending quite an amount of money for this experience. You'll be picked by a boat from Kuntaur or arrive by road via Kudang, then there is luxury camping with amazing views and solitude and wonderful food and very secure. During your stay there'll be different activities offered like watching the chimps and hippos from a boat (you're... More
