Nothing monumental about any architecture in The Gambia and you will find some more interesting if empty modernistic office buildings dotted about. And this is no monumental arch of significance. Bland white concrete that has aged reasonably well.

My guess is that they built this place for "once a year" parades. It look very communistic. But there is a nice small museum in the arch (entrance fee 50D = 1 Euro), you get a good view over Banjul from the top floor balcony....More
This is a concrete building. The inside was complete empty. You can climb to the top of the building to have an overview of Banjul. The view isn't great (nothing particular to see in Banjul). Entrance was 50 dalasi or +/- 1 euro.
