Looking the Arch from a distance makes it attractive to visit this monument. I don't judge the architecture here, since this is a personal taste. Banjul doesn't have many high buildings, so the Arch is about the only monument to overview the city and the direct neighborhood. Positive is the nice view; negative is the absolutely insufficiently maintained art exposition... More

Historical artefacts, costumes, traditional personal items, masks, bad ju ju area, lots of interesting things to see and read about. The viewing tower is good for a view of banjul. Take your Gambian friends, I doubt if they will have been by themselves, I'm sure they will enjoy the visit. Soft drinks can be bought from the cafe/ restaurant.the entry... More

Cheap to go in and an option of lift or stairs to the top. Once at the top you have great views of Banjul and beyond. There is a small museum at the top which although isn't bursting with items, it does give you a good insight to the history of Gambia. Make sure you take a camera because there... More

Don't go out of your way especially for this one - but there is a little museum and art gallery. £1 entrance fee and good views from the top

Interesting to see some of the Gambian political history. Good views. Don't make a special journey just for thi, but worth it if you're wandering g round Banjul for the day

We went to The Gambia in October 2012, and Arch 22 was one of the 1st sites we came across. You can park right beside the arch which, offers great convenience. The arch itself is not in great condition, and if we remember right, the entrance fee was 50 dalasi per person. A museum is located half way up the... More

You can't miss it when you enter Banjul. The view from the top balconies is great. The arch is certainly impressive, although its design is a metter of taste I suppose. You also wonder whether the money spent on this mightn't have had a better purpose...
