Took the train from Andasibe to the coast to get to Le Nirvana D'Ambila. Great tourist way to travel and mix with the locals. For many villages this is the only lifeline to the rest of the country. Lots of fresh fruit and home made food available on the way but bring lots of water and snacks for the trip.... More

Michelin train. Funny looking. Old, but still runs. Not often. Costly. You would be lucky if you could combine it with other trips outside of Tana. It is slow but not much slower than driving windy roads near Tana.

Loved the fact it was a tourist attraction but a lifeline to the villagers along the way, once of course the train did get to each village! the produce along the way feeds you well. The views are amazing. don't expect to get to your destination on time since alot can happen along the way, but it'll all be entaining!

Took the Michelin train from Tana to Andasibe. Was a brilliant experience. One carriage of about 20 people reclining in white wicker chairs and getting served tea and croissant airplane style. Was a very relaxing four hours through beautiful scenery. Note the train only runs a few months of the year and only on the weekends. I would suggesting travelling... More

We took the Michelin train from Tana to Andasibe. This is not an ordinary train but one of only two which operate in the world, the other is also in Mada. A steady ride through countryside and towns. The service is excellent. This step back in time was worth every penny. Stop overnight in Andasibe to see lemurs and then... More

Original place to meet some friends in downtown Antananarivo, to have a cup of coffee or quick snack. They have complementary WIFI internet. But it is not recommended if you do not smoke.
