One of the dirtiest places on earth. Technically, this is disembarkation point. Not a port. A huge crowd of fishermen and fish traders on layers of fish wastes that are here since ... centuries. Not to visit unless you're forced to.

It is a quite classical beach where boats go to unload their fish and sell it. The beach is thin and dirty and smell as crazy as such places. It is crowded of boats. Behind the beach, that's the anthill, it is for business and...More

One of the busiest parts of Nouakchott ! When in Mauretania , this place is a must see , even if you will probably not stay for more than an hour ! Here probably not much has changed in the last decades !

It's an interesting place, very busy and very traditional. I was there on a Sunday, when the boats don't go out, so I guess it may look different on other days.

400-500ugia by share-taxi from centro. So fotogenic and interesting place as fish market, colorful boat, floating boat on the sea, people wearing traditional clothes of Mouritania or Senegal. ask taking a pictures in advance. mostly, they nicely accept.
