A few shops. Some units closed due to covid. Supermarket the best thing a about this center. A few eating places just outside: Turkish, Indian and a few fast food places
Not much for tourist but good for locals.

I quite like to stroll around this shopping mall with its jumble of small stores. There are good places to shop for shoes, sportswear, gifts, stationery, home electronics, and a lot more. On every visit there are one or two new stores that have popped up, a fact that contributes to nice dynamics here. Also there are a couple of cheap and decent hairdressers. The noise level in the top floor game arcade is quite maddening though. There are some good restaurants too, lining the outdoors plaza between the mall and the cinema.
A word of warning (as other reviewers already pointed out). While HiperMaputo on the ground floor is an exceptionally well-stocked supermarket where I'd do more shopping if they only accepted credit cards, the cashiers manning the checkout have an organized scam going. They systematically do not give correct change back. After losing 50 mets on one occasion, I subsequently always check the receipt and change received. When confronting them, they immediately hand over the missing money without a word or an excuse.
Let's now wait and see how MSC will be coping with the competition from the new mega-malls under construction around Maputo.

We shopped at the Hypermarket here twice and both times they tried to swindle us (only times this happened with change in Maputo). The cashiers knew exactly what they were doing. I just stood there pointing at the receipt with the change laid out. Without a word they corrected it. I was really shocked. I don't know enough Portuguese to say "thief".
The shopping centre itself has many shops and cafes.

MBS is currently the largest mall in Mozambique. Owned by the MBS group, the entrepreneur Mohammad Bashir, had an investment of about 24 million euros.
It houses 150 stores, 120 offices, 14 restaurants, a hypermarket, two movie theaters (which are currently the only movie theater in the city), an entertainment floor and conference rooms, parking for cars and a food court.
Here you will find a variety of shops for all budgets and tastes. At the moment it also owns the gym Play, very well-known in the city.

There are lots of shops at this mall including a supermarket. In addition, they have restaurants ranging from Turkish to Indian. The Indian restaurant is supposed to be excellent. I ate at the Turkish restaurant and the food was excellent!

An okay shopping center, not a lot of nice clothing shops. Resturants are plenty and all offer a variety of food. A great place to eat, not shop.

Typical shopping mall, situated in a cluttered area. The jewel of the mall is Jimmy killer fish&chips. Delicious food and great service.

Best shopping experience in Maputo. Several floors of diverse shops, restaurants and a supermarket. Fun world for kids at the top floor as well as cinemas on the ground complex

An eclectic set of activities/shops. Whereas the selection of small boutiques in the mall is not sufficiently diversified and offers a limited choice of products, the supermarket as well as the restaurants on the upper floor and more particularly on the large open ground floor and the movie hall are particularly attractive. For those who like Asian and Middle Eastern food, the Shopping Center is the place to go. The Maputo Shopping is also a meeting place for the Asian community of Maputo.

I am coming into Maputo for a few hours later this year. When I was there last year, I bought a Sparletta strawberry drink which I loved. I’d like to get a few cans while I’m there. Which shops can I get it at, eg, Spar, Woolworths etc? And secondly, can I pay in South African Rands or must I pay in Mozambican currency?
Thanking you in advance
