The train station is being repaired and refreshed. What a difference a new coat of paint makes! Truly a tourist sight to behold. Good job Mozambique government!

You can see the grandeur this building once exuded but not it's been left to die slowly. Perhaps a bit more care would be good.

The building is under renovation and closed. Can only be admired from the outside. Looking forward to seeing it when renovation finished but didnt manage to find any information on when that will be.

Dont go early in the day as the place can be quite crowded an afternoon is quite good for a stroll. its one of the few train stations in Africa and its got come good old colonial structures and decent African vibe to it not...More

This place is amazing, outside and inside. It is being recuperated and it is looking great. It is easy to imagine travelling back in time a 100 years!

This structure, designed by Gustave Eiffel in 1910, is well worth a visit. It has a lovely location on a traffic circle, near the centre of town. It is structured to resemble a palace, lover iron-work. We took a side entrance (main entrance being renovated)...More

This is one of the tourist locations in Maputo. It is now becoming a business district. The station is verywell maintained and interesting as part of Mozambique colonial history, and still ooperating

The building itself is worth a look for its architectural significance plus experience the party of people outside selling all kinds of things. It's actually a functioning station and one of the most striking buildings in Maputo
