We tried three times. And we could not find anything that looked like a museum or had a sign, a name, anything that would indicate the existence of such a place... Sadly, because we were interested to see it. I see most of the reviews...More

Like most museums in Maputo this was closed over the christmas and new year holidays, even though there are a lot of tourists in the city and family that would appreciate somewhere to go.

Please note that the picture featured for the Revolution Museum is in fact the Natural history museum and not the Revolution Museum.

This place will tell you how the Mozambicans fought for their country. You will feel as if you're in their shoes, it's that good. Worth a visit.

The collection of the exhibits are reasonable but it is not maintained or displayed in an attractive fashion. It's worth a short visit to understand the history of the Mozambican independence on the way to one of markets.
