Etosha Park was great. I've never been in such a park before. We stayed there for 2 days and 2 night. We saw almost every animal there is to see: springbok, oryx, antilope, giraffe, rhino, lion, leopardturtle, squirrel, jackhal... and even a leopard. Very hard to spot that one, but we passed another safaritruck and they told us there was... More

We had a 4WD which was useful for the rough stretches of road, although there weren't too many of them. Entry into the park at the western end is slow and frustrating when there is game to see. You fill in a form and then have to pay in an office in the village of Okaukuego. And once in the... More

I spent 3 days, 2 nights in Etosha last week (May 2017). Firstly - vehicle. I followed the debate on this elsewhere and got it wrong. You can do this in a standard saloon (I did) but it will not be fun. I didn't need a 4 x 4 at all but a higher clearance 2 x 4 would have... More

Been there 2 days and 1 night. It was ok but not for a second time. I expected more, everybody who I met in Swakop who came back was enthousiastic. Maybe I was not that lucky saw only Giraffe and Zebra (from the big Five) beside Gnu's, Springbokkies, Gembokken, etc. etc. etc.

Wow! How grand it is to see a game life in that setting. Traveling through the length of it, there is always a chance to see game everywhere. So Etosha's charm is its remoteness and vastness. Looking for stories you have to look hard for the square km one has to travel is quite an expanse. Etosha National Park is... More

We spent 2 days in the park recently & saw most of the animals we expected to. Other than lions we did not see any cats. Firstly let me say that the road conditions were very good, much better than other parks we have visited & also there were fewer vehicles, both of which added to our enjoyment. On the... More

A lovely game park filled with a large number of beautiful animals. Unlike other game parks in Africa, it was not crowded, and at times one felt that you had the park to yourself. Wonderful sightings of all manner of game animals.Very knowledgeable guide/driver.

This is our second visit to Etosha; although April is the start of the dry season, there were alot of rain in the area and this didn't help the game viewing. Few highlights: - the lion and lioness just outside of Namutoni was really special; - six lionesses after the Gemsbokvlakte to the picnic area something never to be forgotten... More

We spent 4 days (3 nights) in the park. We expected hundreds of antelopes but there were at most a dozen. This is not the park's fault and we cannot complain - there was too much rain earlier and the waterholes are pretty useless. We saw more game driving on the road than waiting for hours on end at any... More
