After having stayed at Africat before on route back from Etosha we decided to stop in for a day visit on route up to Etosha this time. Their short tours and lunch make a very convenient and interesting half way point to break the drive...More

I booked a tour at Africat online, and exchanged e-mails with them, but when we arrived they had no record of our booking. The initial hour or so of the guide talking got a bit dull, and I would have rather to have been left...More

They do good work here but I was very disappointed to learn that they no longer take in cheetahs. The reason didn't really make sense - that AfriCat had become a 'dumping ground' for farmers who wanted to rid their land of cheetahs. It would...More

This is where leopards & cheetahs are looked after having been abandoned. You can view the animals inside their enclosures or go on a tracking drive. A very worthwhile organisation which is worth a visit.

This campsite was great. Privacy, good spots, private bathroom in the savannah (no doors), barbecue, swimming pool. Nice walks to do alone. Good wildlife observing opportunities. Didn't take part in any activity and didn't visit Africat.

The rehabilitation of numbers of leopards and cheetahs here at Africat is important in itself. The education of young Namibians into understanding the value of protecting all of their country`s wildlife is even more important. We stayed in the excellent campsite, which was good value...More

This is a great place to visit during a stay in Okonjima. The work they are doing to save and protect certain big cats is commendable. A guided tour will take you inside the enclosures near the cheetah and leopards.

It is a great place, they rehabilitate Cheetahs and Leonards and release them back into the wild. Also you can see some cheetahs that are permanent residents in extremely large encloseures just as though they were wild. We saw five of thenm from a jeep....More
