Great service, great food in the restaurant and wow, the accommodation is simply superior. We loved it so much, we didn't want to leave after the long weekend. So quiet, tranquil, simply amazing. The pool is very clean, the whole area is tidy and well looked after, even after the rainy season where it is fairly difficult to keep the... More

We stayed here for the last night of our 26 day camping trip in February. Although camping is also available, we stopped in a very nice room with terrace, so we could sort out our vehicle ready for its return the next day. The longer of the hiking trails takes you up into the hills with a commanding view of... More

This is my 2nd visit to the Daan Viljoen Nature reserve. The first time we camped and the 2nd time we rented a room. We had a group of 10 so we had some doing both. the people are so friendly, the place gives you a feel of being in Africa with it's glamour and luxury feel. The restaurant has... More

Visited the park for an afternoon from Windhoek. No Big 5 in the park, but saw a few antelope, warthog, giraffe, etc. Clean facilities & friendly staff.

We have done a self-drive and hike a few times. I think we saw a few giraffe and a wildebeest in all the times we have gone. It is nice to be able to hike safely as petty crime has increased in Windhoek. The customer service at the check-in desk is terrible. I can actually say it is one of... More

Sayed here on the first 23 nights of a birdwatching tour. Lovely rooms with a/c, TV and free WiFi. Restaurant quite a long (but enjoyable) walk away with good food and a nice swimming pool. Even some mammals in the grounds, Widebeest and Mountain Zebra.

Booked at the Luxury Campsite. Everything was super, clean, neat and very peaceful. We sat drinking coffee at our campsite and had the privilege of seeing a few wildlife go by. Great value for money. Would go back

Situated just 20km west of Windhoek, the Daan Viljoen Game Park is a delightful getaway close to Namibia's capital. In addition to the chance of seeing a variety of game, there is also a short 4x4 trail (6.5km) and two hiking trails - one a mere 3km out and back ramble and a 9km circular trail. Visitors planning to overnight... More

It's been very hot and dry the last few seasons. Therefore the reserve had very few animals and very little to see.
