The Market is a maze of a few alleys with no traffic and each vendor has his/her own shop and specialties. The vendors speak several languages and are expert at bargaining and getting you into their shop. It's a pleasant experience if you are comfortable in negotiating in places where nothing has a fixed price. You should be willing (and able) to say no if you're done looking at the shops.
We were able to find many nice items to bring home to remember Senegal.

Some pretty decent pricing at this market that is close to hotel djoloff. There is also a fish market at night.

Take care; don't enter if you're all by yourself. The vendors can become quite aggressive if you refuse to take a look at their stuff. It was a horrible experience for me and I went with somebody who knows the local culture.
