When walking near the Corniche, this was also one of my favorite views of Dakar. The Mosque is near the beach and it is possible to take a boat ride there.

For a non Muslim this is a good place to take a photo. I recommend from the Corniche, take several photos during the sunset.

Visible from multiple angles, the distinctive vibrant colors of this mosque are unusual and memorable.

So I didn't go down to the mosque, I stopped on my way to the airport to view it from the bridge. It's beautiful, I'll encourage folks to actually explore it. I will on my next visit.

My taxi-driver stopped here as well but I did not go inside but the mosque looks beautiful. There is no need to be muslim or even religious If you have time go for it. A mosque in front of a beach.

We were told the Mosque was closed so we didn't attempt to enter. Best view from up high on the road overlooking the Mosque and the water.

We were told that the mosque was not open to visitors, so we just saw it from the main road. It is an interesting building in an interesting place.
