Bureh Beach is a beautiful sandy beach strewn with volcanic rocks and fringed by the mountains of the Western Area National Park. During the week we saw only a few people each day, on the weekends it gets more busy.

Bureh beach is a stunning massive long stretch of golden sand with beautiful clear blue sea and some fun waves. Maroon view is an excellent basic place to stay where you can while away your days lazing in the hammocks, watch the beach changing with the tides and see the occasional surfer catch a wave. Levi, Charles and the team... More

The beach is a dream but the accomendaton even though being a low budget hotel in a resource poor place has all the possibilities for improvement. No running water, nor closing mosquito fence and a friendly but extra ordinary slow service. The view even in the rain season is marvelous and agin you have to count with a humid metric... More

Recommended for beach day getaway or more. Attractive scenery: white sand, clear, clean water, distant mountains and hearty black stones. Some pitched tents the evening before, there's affordable accommodations to create your length of stay even just for a day. It's worth the scenery and privacy. Seafood & drinks available, chairs for rent and delicious plantains. An easy walking/running 2... More

Beautiful white sandy beach, mountains in the background, welcoming locals and chilled out bar a walk away from the sea. Incredible Stay either at Levi's or Prince's, both place are great, the lads all look after you, unbelievable value for the price you... More

Visited this beach twice during my stay in Sierra Leone for a day off, and it's absolutely brilliant. The water is amazing, the beach itself is spectacular, the only thing that I had any problems with was the food as I'm not a big fan of seafood. However we got the chance to hire some bodyboards and had s great... More

This is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world! Lush green mountains taper into white sandy beaches and tropical water. Good surf, good food, not crowded at all. Love it!

Came here on the way to the airport after working for 5 weeks in Makeni. Absolute picture postcard place. I've been to many incredible beaches around the world and this is really up there with the likes of thailand and australia. Best thing was it's so peaceful, quiet and not touristy. (to be fair, I was here during the ebola... More

This cannot be overstated. Go there now! Most beautiful beach ever. There's barely anyone there so the usual beach worries will be far from your mind (in fact I counted a total of 30 people both in and out of the water!). Just bask in the sun, soak in the water or grab a surfboard and ride some waves. The... More
