On arriving to Nepal, I soon found out that the minimal information I had read in Lonely Planet was not helping me make the best decisions. During my second day of travel I found myself talking to some random Nepali guy who was slowly, convincing me into using himself as a guide. He said he had been a guide many... More

There are plenty of travel agents in Kathmandu and abroad offering a package to this trek; but I chose to be free from that constrains; It is better to be free from the package deal and choose the hotel that you like, pay the guide separately, opt your mode of transportation the way you like it to be. It gives... More

Growing up in a tropical country, seeing green mountains wasn't new to me anymore. I did a couple of treks back home but was challenged when told that we need 4 days to reach ABC (Annapurna Base Camp). They put our mountains to shame by calling them "hills" (LOL). To them, any land formation lower than 1000 meters is considered... More

My friend and I did a 9 day trek which included the trek to Annapurna Base Camp and then another loop out to Poon Hill. While walking there, we would occasionally meet trekkers who promised us a heaven on earth... but we did not fully believe this description until we arrived at the foot of the 10th highest mountain in...
