Renovation works are still going on over these tall towers. But you can still see some of the architectural and designing genius that were on show here before the quake hit. Hopefully they can return it to its original state as soon as possible

The wooden art of this place is great. If you are in or nearby Kathmandu, do visit this place to see Nepali wooden art and sculpture.

This dominant 9 storeyed Basantapur built in the Durbar square of Kathmandu known as Kathamandu tower, was built along with 3 other towers. Beautiful architecture and woodwork very interesting. There is a entry fee for tourists.

It was like a town with walls, temples and the king's palace which are very interesting, as well as shops and art galleries. Although there is a small fee to get into Dubar Square for non-Nepalese visitors, it... More

Off all the temples located near by Kathmandu, I have to say this one was my favorite. Location is great and very tourist friendly. Area is clean and there is a guess house there that sells the best Masala tea in town in my opinion.
