We were hoping to see some more character, showing what the street used to be like. While the buildings are in good condition, there was limited character and it didn't give any historic sense. I wouldn't go out of my way to see this.

Bopiliao is a restored historic area in the Longshansi parameter. It is worth a visit if in the area. I would recommend having lunch in Ximending and came here on your way to Longshan Temple

I am not too sure if it was worth visiting as all the buildings have been restored but most were empty. This used to be a busy commercial area 200 years ago but now all you can see are some Qing Dynasty and Japanese era...More

When you visit the Longshan Temple, don't forget to visit Bopilao street. This street is not far from this temple. Exit from the temple from the main gate, just walk to the left about 100 meters and you will found the Bopiliao street. It is...More

It's just a renovated street, actually it looked like it was just consumed by fire, no offence but for graffiti artists and art enthusiasts this is worth visiting. Another instagram memory. If you're close to Longshan temple, then it makes sense to visit this place.

There is a lot of potential here, but not yet realised. Hopefully will be developed, hopefully not as just another shopping market. Worth a look nevertheless.

At least it felt like a Movie Set. It was restored to a certain degree. Although I'd check again to see if the buildings are structurally sound, especially in earthquake-country. Many of the pillars are listing. Also that some of the bricks are turning to...More

The streets are only now undergoing reconstruction so there isn't that much to see yet. Perhaps when more is done it will be more attractive.
