This is a small, beautiful temple to the City God and many lesser gods who promise peace to all who visit the city. Some of the smaller gods are revered for uniting lovers and bringing good fortune in business. Have some free "Blessing Tea" outside, and visit the interesting internal alcoves. Located on the interesting and historic Dihua Street. (Just... More

It is famous temple pray for finding your soul mate and have a good marriage. I heard that the Yue Lao (god of marriage) only guide you to the right one and end the wrong relationship. I was quite surprised to find that there are people who worked in temple teach you how to pray step by step with different... More

As far as I understand this is a quite important temple for Taiwanese, however it really is a small one (you can easily miss it while strolling through Dihua street). Worth a quick look though as it is nicely decorated and... watch the young people praying in front of the god who's is promising a partner in life, maybe you'll... More

This old temple served as the center of worship for local residents over the past 150+ years. Yet not like many other famous temples in Taipei with huge size of structure, it still maintain its humble shape. The legends has it for those ladies wishing to find the right men then they should seek blessing from the god in this... More

If you are single, you could go to this temple to beg for a good marriage. If you are married to a partner who has an affair, you might go to this temple to cut his or her bad relationship with an extramarital partner. I do not know if it's really true, since one of my cousins went there and... More

It was my first time visiting a Taiwanese temple, and was a great cultural experience. There are people at the temple who will assist you with the proper prayer ritual, and this temple is known for assisting people with their love life. Would definitely be worth experiencing once, but not sure you would want to go back repeatedly.

This is a nice temple that I think is worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood, but you should probably not go out of your way to visit. The big plus --- they have a fantastic neighborhood map, which also tells the history of the temple... from the brochure.. The Xia-Hai City God was originally a blessed deity... More

I came by this temple unintentionally as I was visiting Dihua Street. And wow, it is amazing. This is the temple of the town god (in the old time). You can read the story of the gods here IN ENGLISH. Even it is small, the atmosphere was great at the time i came. The gods here can bless you happiness... More
