Loved the area of Beitou and how the whole village is built into the mountain with access to hot springs and museums. Perfect day trip; note Mondays most museums are closed.

Recommended to escape from the city. Easy to get there with the subway (red line). The place is not that big but in my opinion are hot springs always nice to see. You can not into the water.

No respect to the Beitou natives, I would not go here more than once. However, it's worthwhile visiting once. There are several pools of hot spring - warm, hot, and really hot (50c). The Beitou hot spring famous for sulfur and radium (apparently only two...More

Beitou is high in the mountains. Flooding is not an issue. It's actually a good destination for raining days as u can soak indoors. The only problem is u won't be able to walk around to see other sceneries.

Clothing is required at any mixed baths(public)..Clothing is prohibited at all separated baths.... you have the public baths which are inexpensive, or you can rent a private room at a hotel for 60-90 minutes
