If not scared of the hights then highly recommend the Crystal Gondala. These haave glass bottomed floors so you can see the tree tops directly underneath. Great value and a good extra to do after visiting the Taipei Zoo.

On a hot day this is a comfortable change. The ride from near the zoo on the gondola is spectacular. The view from the mountain depends on the visibility which is always variable. There are some small tea rooms at the top for refreshments.

We had the pleasure of going up the gondola on Sunday. This is well worth the trip. There are 3 stops that take you above the forest canopy. Try and go on the gondola that has a see through floor.

Yes, it was hot the days we were in Taipei but the wait for the Maokong gondola (which I have separately reviewed through its own TA listing) was not excessive. The gondola affords great views of not just the forest over which it passes but...More

No AC in the cable car this is unexpected. But the view on the top is nice. Better to go there during autumn and winter. Its super duper hot on the cable car. It takes around 20 mins for the whole trip. Up to the...More

We visited this amazing spot last week. The gondolas were very safe, the queue was long but it got handled relatively quickly. Asian efficiency. There is an option to choose gondola with a transparent bottom. Tourist trap. Every 10th-15th gondola is transparent, so the queue...More

Btw, we had the hotspring bath in Beitou.. In the room, there were complimentary tea, coffee and water available. Another round of complimentary tea and dessert was served on another floor at the end of the session.
