Friendly and nice bar

Balcony is the one of friendly bar at Silom 4, I often go there to talk with the owner ( straight guy ). Drink is reasonable price but food is a bit expensive.

When IM in Bangkok I always make sure I have time for a couple of Vodkas here, friendly barstaff, good prices, also a very extensive food menu, and at certain times Happy Hours.

Really enjoyed my time in Balcony. The bartenders couldn't be friendlier... Love to hang out at the bar, drinks are affordable and you can always start a conversation with someone there... Love it... music inside is kept low as to favor conversations. Outside, the terrace allows "people watching"... Great time at Balcony...

A perennial favourite, and it doesn't disappoint. I thought the food prices had possibly become unreasonable though - and thus we ate elsewhere. Shame.

Hated it...! The staff are always begging for tips and want you to buy them drinks. They don't leave you alone to have a conversation. Kept implying that my partner and I wanted a 3some. Really ruined our night... We just wanted a drink.

It was pretty nice spot to hang out and watching people walking around. Staffs were friendly, drinks were nice. Go for gin tonic here, you will love it. Always busy on weekend, recommend for happy hour or late night. Always enjoy here

The Balcony was a great spot to just grab a sidewalk chair, relax, have a beverage, pitcher, tower or another drink of choice and watch all the people passing by. It’s great to see young and old, gay and straight, locals and tourists and watch how the Balcony staff basically seemed to be seating customers for the entire alley. The... More

Spent a leisurely hour or two with Friends watching people watching us. The service was fine, prices ok and the drinks were nice. Lots of traffic in one of the busiest areas of Bangkok. It is also non-gay friendly...you have to visit once just so you can say you have been there.

Staying in Silom

Neighbourhood Profile
Silom
Despite the lack of any major tourist attractions, this lively neighborhood is a favorite of many. Whether it's the (somewhat naughty) nightlife of Soi Patpong, the various handicraft night markets or the plethora of dining options that tickle your fancy, a night out in Silom is a must on every itinerary. It's worth a stop during daytime, too: join office workers on a quest to tasty street food during lunch and shop at Silom Complex for a great mix of Thai and international stores. After a day of strolling around the congested sidewalks, a visit to Silom's Lumphini Park, Bangkok's answer to NYC's Central Park, is a welcome change of scenery.
