This was our first trip to Thailand and I had a lot of concerns with our family of 5 travelling together to an international destination. I was very pleasantly surprised at the hospitality of the Thai people. They were honest, polite and very friendly. I had communicated with Thai Private Tour guide and they were very accommodating as we wanted... More

Our cruise ship was scheduled to make an overnight stop to Laem Chabang, the port for Bangkok. Since it’s a 2-3 hour drive, we decided to spend the night in Bangkok. There were four of us so we booked a private tour for two days. We asked for a couple of additions to the standard tour and they were easily... More

We pre booked a private tour guide after reading other reviews. Our Guide Mr. T.J. met us at our Hotel on the first morning of our stay and he introduced us to the river ferries which we used to travel to The Royal Grand Palace and The Royal Temple both of which were extremely crowded and without our guide we... Had an excellent day and night tour in Bangkok. My guide Mr Alex was extremely knowledgeable about the sites we visited, full of information on both the temples, the Royal Palace and importantly short cuts around the queues. The tour never felt rushed but also we didn't linger too long in any place. I also enjoyed the long tail boat... More

Part of our cruise itinerary included 2 days / 1 night in Bangkok. Due to traffic it is approximately a 3 hour drive each way. We opted to spend the night in Bangkok so we could also see it at night. Ms. Joy was our guide and Mr. Tony was our driver. We have been on a lot of tours... More

My husband and I booked a private tour guide for one day as I had found them mentioned in Lonely Planet. We had asked the company before to suggest different sites to visit and based on this we could tailor-made the trip according to our wishes. We decided to visit the Grand Palace, Wat Pho and the flower and vegetable... More

Our party of 6 were met at the port for our whistle stop tour of Bangkok. Quick and efficient journey in a comfortable car . We got to see all the sights and somehow despite the city being full of tourists TJ got us to the front of queues and knew where the toilets with the shortest queues were! It... More

We had a two-day guided tour of Bangkok with the very friendly and knowledgeable Ms. Tai. Day 1 was the city tour visiting the main temples, Royal Palace and flower market. It was a well-paced tour with adequate time spent at each location. We didn't particularly enjoy the boat tour, as most of the tour is down very small dirty... More

Today Jeab took us to view the railway market and the floating markets. I booked late but they were able to accomodate us and we had a fabulous half day tour. We stopped to view an authentic thai house and coconut plantation. The railway market was amazing and Jeab took many photos and was able to get us into top... More

Spent brill time there. Walking tour, boat trip, elephants and beautifull local meal for lunch. Even my always grumpy 7yrs old loved it. Too hot, don't wory, cool water and wet tissue always await in a van for you. Big YES for the Private Tour Guide. Kris

Staying in Sathorn

Neighbourhood Profile
Sathorn
Sathorn is Bangkok’s central business district, but here you’ll find much more than international banks and suited-up office workers. Take a stroll along the small alleys between the skyscrapers and you’ll find yourself among Bangkokians living life at a much slower pace. Feast on fantastic Thai food which you can find in the town-house restaurants, office food courts and sidewalk food stalls spread all over the area, especially around St. Louis Hospital. A visit to Sathorn is not complete without a drink at one of the glitzy sky bars perched atop its skyscrapers.
