It's just regular zoo. Nice place to walk around with family or friends. Really nice for children. If you want you can spend there even half a day. Don't expect too much.

there seems to be a funding shortage here I have heard the bangkok zoo was of world standard but was very disappointed, there was no water for the hippo's and the big cats looked hungry.

The zoo closes at 6pm...though this depends on specific celebration days in Thailand
