They were very expensive and super unfriendly and rude and even let us out 15 mins too early. They bring you to a souvenir selling boat but if you don't want to buy anything they get unfriendly. No pleasure.

The longs are a fast, economical way to go to see the Golden Mount or Ratanakosin. Pay attention to the online map as you may need to change boats but just pay attention to the Thais--they are very helpful if you tell them where you want...More

We did a lot of walking along some of the klongs and it was one of the best way to see Bangkok, discovering where local people live, have businesses, finding good eating places, discovering all sorts of buildings more or less decrepit. We saw a...More

The klong boats are very good. The locals use them as commuter transport but I found it fun for a ride.

OK they are mostly smelly, filthy and putrid, but still they add a completely new dimension to Bangkok. If you need to quickly move to some places where you know there will be terrible traffic, like the area around Pantip and Central World, try taking...More

The kilos boats are really exciting because they go very fast but can get a bit scary when racing around corners.

I would recommend the tour that is located at the boat dock that is on the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. We have used the service and recommended the service with great results all around.

Klongs are like roads and are a thoroughfare for boat traffic. You can go to the touristy area of Bangkok's Klongs and stop at eateries etc. There are some people selling things, nothing you can't get elsewhere.

Not really! There are very limited chances to shop en route, though there are a few vendors stationed along the banks, and the occasional vendor out on a boat.
