This street is a must do in Bangkok, during day and night. There you will find good and cheap street food, souvenirs, drinks, parties, crazy people...

This place offers places to hangout, to drink beer and spend times sitting and chatting in bar etc. I only went here to try Thai massage. You can also try deep fried bugs here at night.

There is nothing particularly special about the Khao San Road and every time I've visited across my many visits to Bangkok I find myself wondering more and more why I go. The food is cheap but not great, the streets and bars are filled with unruly and at times unpleasant drunk tourists. The vendors are all selling the same rubbish... More

Not much to say about the place really. Stalls and show filled with tat. The only saving grace was that some of the street food looked quite nice but there are MUCH better places to get decent street food with a much better vibe and a decent price!

Great place with some great new friends. We started out at Warm White Hostel and went out as a group to explore the city's most wild area. It was an epic night.

A place to enjoy, relax and stay till closing time at 3 am. So many bars, souvenirs and live bands along the streets, a lot of delicious foods and spas. We tried for massage as well because the price is lil bit cheaper that in Phuket.

Typical place with lots of bars, loud music, girl bars, drunk tourists and overpriced stuff, hotels however are sometimes cheaper around this parts and you can find some more western food. There is a small market, overpriced compared to other places in bangkok.

Staying in Banglamphu

Neighbourhood Profile
Banglamphu
While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok, it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around Khao San Road. Visit at night to feast on road-side pad thai, cheap beers and if you’re up for it, some dancing fueled by buckets of Thai whiskey.
