This is well worth seeing, have a few drinks and do some market shopping. Lots of bars with live music and it just gets louder and crazier as the night goes on. The street food is great and the atmosphere buzzing after dark! Also walk...More

I was just passing through, stopped at the 13th pier just to see what it's like. Flocked with backpackers, probably not a good place to bring your kids. I was with my parents and it's nice to see people gather and chat. Good to go...More

A very short touristy street that smells really bad and the souvenirs are a little over priced. They have some nice souvenirs but you can definitely get them for cheaper elsewhere. I would suggest going to the markets surrounding Khao San, as it is not...More

This is not a review of Khao an road but of Khao San 1986, a restaurant on that road. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT stop at this restaurant. We ordered food, which was inedible, and sent it back before we paid the bill. Our...More

Stall after stall of quirky or ghastly t-shirts, bags, cheap flip flops and sunglasses, street vendors selling anything you don't need or will never dare to wear back home. Yet the atmosphere in this traffic free street is great. Stopping by at one of the...More

If you want cheap buckets, very loud music and to be hassled by those selling ping pong shows this is the place for you. One street all competing for your business. Great for a crazy night out, not one for the family!!

I walked through Khao San Road a few times while in Bangkok but I don't go out of my way to visit this area. Honestly, I don't like coming here because it's a tourist trap and gets very crowded. You'll see random people sightseeing and...More

While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok,
it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn
the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and
most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to
this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off
their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most
spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to
Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around

if you are coming from Suvarnabhumi airport, in my opinion, the cheapest and most convenient way is, travel to Paya Thai station and take a taxi from there to Khaosan road. There is a taxi calling service given FOC at the... More
