It's the ultimate party location and it's the true gateway to another dimension past sunset. You can taste everything Thailand has to offer on Khao San. There's bars, clubs, restaurants, massage parleurs galore. Everything from scorpio on a stick to drinks by buckets. It's loud,...More

Especially during the first time in Bangkok, khao san road is probably the best place to meet young people and to start perfect holidays

Can't come to Bangkok and not visit Khao San Road. Anything you want, you can find here! Great prices and lots of entertainment!

What's the fuss? Found nothing special here, as rambunctious and sleezy as you probably have heard, saw some street talent worth tipping, and some...not worth tipping. One giant loud party and not even in the cool way, just one big irritating completely black out rager,...More

Went there with my teenage kids and found it not worth the visit. The street food to try is the deep fried insect for the adventurous and various stalls selling only pad thai or mango sticky rice.

This is the best road in the world. I’ve been many, many times. Love Khao San. Great for a few days of crazy backpacker life

We stopped by thinking to have a reasonable lunch and foot rub. The prices of massage have increased but are still good value. The meal was as pricey as and worse value than in fancier ar as of town. Maybe this is just a case...More

Interesting place to visit to understand the first days of the young travelers trips to Bangkok. There are many bars, restaurants and small hotels.

Being middle-aged, this wasn't really a place of interest for us. We went because we were early for a nearby tour. I ended up getting a foot massage while my husband had a beer. There is definitely good shopping and people watching here.

While you’ll see skyscrapers in most parts of Bangkok,
it’s the gilded roofs of ancient pagodas that adorn
the skyline of Banglamphu, the city’s historical and
most touristic district. Hordes of tourists flock to
this area to tick quite a few must-see attractions off
their to-do list, with the Grand Palace being the most
spectacular of them all. Banglamphu is also home to
Bangkok’s infamous tourist ghetto, centered around

Hi f0urmile, maybe as a family and wanting good views and a pool you should consider 3/4*+ hotels. To pick "an area" is quite difficult, Bangkok is truly vast(not an exaggeration it's massive as far as the eye can see) and... More
