Located in the Old City on 437 Wichyana Rd. this temple is easy to find at the north east corner of the Moat, and well worth a visit and long look around. The temple complex was built in the 19th century, most likely over an older temple from the Mangrai Dynasty (1292 to 1558). The viharn is very impressive with a two-tiered steeply sloping roof, with the grand portico supported by four massive teak columns. Gilded nagas sit on the roof and the apexes are topped with eagle chofa finials. Throughout the temple complex the artistry and architecture is elaborately decorated in teak, mosaics, fine carvings, and scrolled. Protection of the Devatas, nagas and many Buddhas. The chedi has a high square base with the indented corners rising to another square shaped mid-section with niches on each side containing Buddha images in the standing posture or Abahaya mudra. Both sections of the chedi are decorated with embossed figures of Devas in circular gilt badges which bend around the corners. Gilt nagas top the niches. These very solid looking square sections support the bell which is covered in white stucco with a gilt fringe, above which, the neck is decorated with different colored pieces of glass or celadon which sparkle in blue, gold and green on a square base extending up to support the pinnacle which is topped with a gilt umbrella. The pavillion is also a sight to see and an nice place to relax, meditate, contemplate or rest. Everywhere you look there are wonderful, unique sights to see, not top mention the mulitude of plaques with teachings of the Buddha,

Nice temple worth stopping in to see but very similar to lots of others across Thailand. If you are passing then I’d explore.
