It was a Sunday and it was open. Only exhibition was about photography. Didn't get to see anything else. Most doors were closed that day. I wasn't sure about the reason. However the photography exhibit was free of charge.

Chiang Mai artists hand-make paper, then create umbrellas, scrolls and stationery. The artists paint the umbrellas solid color, then add designs meticulously by hand. We had a scroll painted with Japanese cherry blossoms. The stationery had great texture and made great gifts. Very much enjoyed. Kool place, see how they make souvenirs. Get your notebook cover painted or jeans painted, by hand while you wait. See many different ways they make different souvenirs. No pressure to buy only takes 30 minutes, very worthwhile
