Any other time of the year and this may feel like any other bridge, however during Loy Krathong and Yi Peng it is something else. Beautifully lit up. It is the most popular place to release sky lanterns from just be careful that they don't...More

we went there on the lantern festival day and there were local street food shops around. Since it is the only lace in Chiang Mai that the government allow to float the lanterns, the place is packed, yet the lantern experience was magical. So if...More

Although nothing special about the bridge itself it is a useful spot to take photos of the river and central Chiang mai. It provides a reference point for locating yourself in an unfamiliar city - especially as the main tourist information office is at the...More

This is a nice, wide bridge to walk over the Ping River and head toward Tha Phae Gate about 1 kilo ahead. Built for a large amount of traffic, it is a major artery to the old city. It is also a nice place to...More

Nawarat is one of the biggest engineering and construction firms in Thailand so presumably they built the bridge and with all due modesty had it named after themselves in perpetuity. For all that it's a pretty average sort of bridge.

From this bridge you get some nice views of the river and the iron bridge, it's nothing spectacular but if you walk down the river you see lots of locals fishing. A nice place to pass time.
