This place is expensive if you buy from the main showroom. However, if you go outside there is a section where seconds are on sale at half the price of the showroom. With care, it is possible to buy almost-perfect items there. The lady sales person was very helpful and assisted with my purchases. She also did a good job... More

We were invited to the grand opening of the cafe on the grounds of the Celadon factory and showroom - amazing cakes and coffee now available as well as a tour of the ancient buildings, the factory where hand painting of the famous pottery takes place and the impressive showroom with the best quality ceramics at all levels of price.... Of all my trips to Chiang Mai, I can't believe I've never been to this place. Celadon is a kind of handmade, high-fired stoneware glazed with wood ashes. Their products are beautiful. I got a cream and sugar set with a little tray. They packaged it well for travel. Many options for payment. They were really easy to work with.... More

This showroom and pottery plant is on the way to Amphur San Kamphaeng from chiangmai town. The products are various and its original color is green, celadon. The vicinity is shady with trees and flowers, esp.in winter time. It's very easy to accede with spacious parking lots. There is also plant where demontrates how comes this kind of pottery.

Very pretty yet quality ceramics that can be microwaved & dish-washer safe. Bought a tea set, wished I could complete the set.

I would rate this as equivalent to ikat batik of Ubud- locally produced, hand made, not inexpensive but totally worth it. It makes more sense to pick up an item from here than multiple knick knacks from the markets and bazaar as a lasting memory of Chiang Mai. We picked up a huge leaf salad plate, a deep serving bowl... You can find celadon in town (Nimmanhaemin Road has a factory outlet shop and the Chiang Mai International Airport shops had some excellent pieces). But the showroom here is beautiful and they have a good range. Just don’t bother go out to the do the factory shops as part of a tour. You can get a tuk tuk driver to... More

For celadon fans, Baan Celadon is probably a "5" but even for non-addicts, this place is an enjoyable place to visit. Visitors can wander into the factory shop and watch the distinctive celadon being handmade, or get a quick guided tour. The showroom is tastefully done and they offer many distinctive pieces. Prices are not cheap, but also not outrageous.... More

Looking for some of the beautiful Celadon ceramics made in Chiangmai. Didn't find what I was looking for, and went to several other places selling similar things. Prices seemed a little high, but the quality was nice and was about the same as other Kilns in Chiangmai.
