Super fun and you really learn a lot!
The cooking class at Thai Farm Cooking School was an awesome experience and one of the best activities during our Thailand vacation. Garnet, our instructor was super fun and entertaining. She had a great energy and explained everything super well. I can now say with confidence that I can cook a Tom Yum soup, Pad Thai and a classic Thai curry when I get back home. Very practical: You get a small cookbook at the end, in which all the basics are well explained again. We can recommend the Thai Farm Cookings School to everyone who is eager to learn the basics of Thai cooking!

    Wonderful Day Cooking
We had a fantastic day, hosted by the brilliant Wass who made the day extra fun. We starting off exploring the market, followed by driving out to the farm. The farm was lovely and everything was very well prepared and easy to follow when it came to the cooking. It was nice to chat and meet some others in the same group as well. Definitely recommend!

    Amazing Thai Farm Cooking Experience
One of the best days of my Thai holiday. The afternoon/evening from start to finish was well organised, interesting and such fun from going to the market to walking round the farm to learning to cook a stunning and delicious Thai feast. Garnet was a fun and informative teacher and her energy and enthusiasm made our day. Thank you to her and her team for everything.

    A wonderful experience
We had a wonderful half day at the Thai cooking school as a family of 4 with our two teenagers. Fah was so lovely and showed us round the market and the farm before showing us how to cook a variety of dishes. It was so well organised and the food was delicious! Fah made sure to cook something different so that we could taste things we hadn’t selected, which worked so well. Since returning to the UK we have made them a number of times and have such fond memories of our cookery lesson with Fah. Thank you!

Great to learn about Thai cooking and the ingredients
Great experience from the start to the end. After our group was fully picked up we did a short trip to the Ruamchok Market - a nice and neat market - where we got explained some ingredients and also had time to walk around by ourselves. Then we went to the organic farm to cook 6 dishes! I liked that we prepared a dish and ate it right away. So there always was a little time between the dishes to digest. ;) Before we started we got a tour to see how the plants grow and taste some of them. I also liked that you can choose between different dishes, e.g. what kind of curry/soup/dessert etc you would like to prepare. So I had the chance to learn how to cook a Khao Soi! Also being vegetarian is no problem at all (you can have tofu, mushroom sauce instead of oyster sauce...). Thanks to Wass who answered all our questions and for her funny way of explaining. :)

    Amazing experience and delicious food.
Raatta was an amazing teacher. She took us to a beautiful local market and we saw all of the ingredients we’d use (and more). Then we had a short drive and she she gave us a tour of the farm, showing us each plant and explaining how it is used in Thai foods. She showed us how to prep, cook, and plate each dish. Not only did our food taste like it was from a restaurant, it looked like it too. The farm was beautiful and Raatta’s friendly demeanor and smile only added to the experience. I’d book this again in a heartbeat.

    Amazing
What a wonderful experience! I was shocked at the quality of the dishes I was able to make. Fah was a brilliant guide and teacher. She’s very passionate about cooking and sharing Thai culture through the dishes she taught us to cook. Fah’s teaching and instructions were so easy to follow. Thank you so much!

    Fah is the best!
I did the full day cooking course at the farm and it was amazing - thanks to our wonderful, patient and funny teacher Fah. You could choose what you want to cook and learned a lot at the local market and the farm’s garden about the ingredients. I’m a very bad cook, but Fah took us so patiently through every step that even my meals turned out amazing. She also shared some secret tips with us ;-) You also get all the recipes in the end! Thank you so much, Fah, will definitely recommend!

    Excellent Cooking Class
My two sons (age 16 and 13) and I had a fantastic time at the class. Transportation to the class was perfect. We really enjoyed the tour of the farm. Prior to the class, I had emailed asking about rice and whether it would be growing at the farm when we visited. Although it was not quite the season for growing rice, they made it a point to show us lots more information about growing rice. They really went above and beyond. Instructions were excellent and everyone was extremely friendly. I absolutely love the cookbooks that we received. Such a wonderful thing to bring home as a memory of our class and I am able to now cook things that we learned in class.

Fantastic experience! So well organised and Wass and her assistant were very informative, helpful and fun which made for a great half day. First stop, trip to the market for ingredients, then a tour of the farm to collect the home grown herbs and spices. We were then shown how to cook 3 dishes each and got to eat them all, before being taken back to our hotel. Really great fun and a highlight of our Thailand trip. Even better, we came away with a recipe book including all the dishes do that we can cook them again back at home.

Waas (Sorry, I think this is her name) and An were wonderful and hilarious teachers. My husband and I have been to a few cooking classes and this was our absolute favorite. They taught us about the different ingredients at the market and at the farm. Each person got their own cooking station to cook their individual meals (rather than group classes where you help prep and the teacher cooks). It was also cool that one of our favorite meals in Thailand, we helped cook ourselves! Would highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Chiang Mai! #MoreSpicyMoreSexy

I can highly recommend the cooking class at Thai Farm. We did the afternoon class, we went to a market first where our instructor, Mod, explained about the different rices we would cook with, and also the different sauces. We then had time to walk around the market to look around and if there’s anything you didn’t recognise, Mod, Was and Paeng (other assistants) were more than happy to answer any questions and share knowledge.
We then made our way to the cooking school/farm in an air conditioned minivan.
We walked around the farm and Mod was fantastic at explaining about the herbs, spices and vegetables which were grown at the farm and which ones we would be using in the dishes we made. She was really engaging and had a good sense of humour.
You could choose the courses to cook from a variety of options.
You get a little cookbook at the end of the evening, with access to an ebook as well.

Overall we had a great time and we can highly recommend this cooking class. Thanks so much for a memorable experience :)

Such a heavenly experience cooking here.
Both our instructors, Mod and Was, were great - instructive and funny.

We cooked in beautiful surroundings at the farm. Mod introduced us to all the wonderful ingredients we were going to be using, that are grown at the farm organically.

There are many different dishes to choose from, and they all tasted equally delicious. In total we cooked 7 rounds of different dishes.

Cooking a bit closer to nature was great, and was made convenient with pickup at the hotel included in the price.

It is not the cheapest cooking school - but it is the best! We would recommend it to anyone.

This was an excellent afternoon, first brief trip to a market, then to farm with a short garden trip which was very informative. The cooking process was explained well and easy to execute. After cooking you eat the food and it was a authentic and tasty . So easy I could make it at home.

This was an exceptionally well organized, well executed and fun learning experience!

The day started with a visit to a fresh market where we learned about various ingredients. Upon arrival at the farm our trainer, Wass, and her trainee gave us a tour of the gardens and allowed us to touch, smell, and taste the vegetables and herbs they grow on site which we’d use later in our cooking.

There were 11 of us, the maximum group size, but it still felt intimate. We each prepared a soup, noodle dish, curry and dessert. For the curry, we pounded our own paste!

Each cooking station was fully equipped. Before we started cooking, the trainer taught us how to cut and prepare the
Ingredients. The food was delicious, we feasted!

There was a lot of discussion about ingredients which might not be available in our home countries and what substitutes we could use instead. They also encouraged us to communicate with them once we’re home with any questions we have about Thai cooking - they are legitimately enthusiastic about us using these skills when we get home!

Wass and her trainee are knowledgeable, engaging, enthusiastic and hilarious!

We were each given a book containing the recipes of the dishes we prepared.

Can’t recommend this tour highly enough, fantastic experience!

Amazingly well-organized from start to finish - being picked up from my hotel promptly and delivered back. Wass, the instructor was delightful - great sense of humour and full of knowledge. I enjoyed the trip around the market on the way to see the ingredients. The venue was great and the group melded very well. This day was probably the highlight of my trip to Thailand and I thoroughly recommend it. I bought ingredients in another market and intend to use the cookery book I was given to bring back the flavours whilst in England. Thank you so much, Thai Farm Cookery School. Clean kitchen and fresh ingredients completed my satisfaction with the whole experience. Five stars without a doubt!

We truly enjoyed the day we spent with Wass and the time at the cooking school. It was interesting to visit a local market and see many of the traditional Thai ingredients we would be working with later that day. There were many options to choose from and were able to sample a variety of Thai food. The dishes we made were some of the best we ate. We are looking forward to bringing home the recipes to make for our friends and family.

The school offered pick up/drop off at hotel locations. Roughly 1/2 hr driver out of city to the farm area. Our instructor, Wass, took us through the garden to explain different plants and usages. She was very funny. It's very educational and useful for future cooking at home. Open air kitchen was very nice and comfortable. We liked the countryside environment. We cooked our dishes and enjoyed our labor of love. The whole experience was lots of fun and very enjoyable.
