In the city of temples, there are so many temples to see (living here, I've been to dozens), but one I regularly come back to is Wat Lok Molee, as it is unique in its architecture but also the giant stupa behind it still remains in tact, and just shows the grandeur of its presence! Fantastic site, and very interesting... More

As the title above suggests you can give it a miss. Much better stuff to see. Was not really impressed.

A beautiful temple like all the Wat's I visited. Beautiful inside and out. Plenty of smaller Wat's around the main temple to see. This was the first Wat I went to and it's a wonderful site. An old brick Pagoda behind the temple is a bit of Thailand history. Worth a visit

This is a little beyond the old city square, but definitely worth checking out. You can use a pulley to offer a cup of water to Buddha.

THIS TEMPLE IS LOCATED ACROSS THE road from the north side of the old city [near the North & West corner]. The various parts of the temple are very well maintained and intricate. Well worth a visit!!!

Very different from all the other temples in Chiang Mai. Different style and architecture than most. Beautiful and worth a stop to compare to the other nearby temples.

Every time I come to chaing Mai, I have to visit this beautiful temple, love the simplicity of it, a wooden construction, stunning ornate entrance with out all the bling. And you can buy the gold or silver leaves for 40 bahts to write a message and tie on the trees. Just beautiful.

This was my third visit to Chiang Mai but the first time to visit this beautiful temple. It is not as crowded as some of the more well known temples in the area. The chedi dates from the 16th century and the main temple building has some fine woodwork.

The vihara contains beautiful carvings depicting the life of Buddha, and very ornate decorations, internally and externally. Beautiful teak columns also add to a a felt ambience that makes this temple a place that demands awe and reverence. A chedi at the back of the vihara has considerable historic significance, and should not be overlooked. A must see.

I love this temple even though I've seen a lot in Chiang Mai. We were there right before the sunset, so there weren't many people and the light was just amazing! Just go there it you like old temples :)
