We are a group of 4 girls traveling during Christmas holiday. We chose the 2 day trekking tour which turned out to be beyond our expectation. Our guide is Tee, very knowledgeable and informative about Karen culture and ecosystem of jungle as he explained different kinds of insects, especially spiders and some plants and farming knowledge. We even tried barbecuing... More

This was the highlight of our Chiang Mai trip. Our guide, Vee, was such an amazing host. The hiking was tough, but it was really great when we arrived at our destinations and got to put our feet up while Vee and his porters prepared the most amazing meals for us. They even made dishes, chop sticks, cups etc out... More

If you want straightforward trekking with no thrills, Pooh provides this and more. His collaborators know the mountains and the ethnic groups you'll meet there, and such treks would be impossible without them.

The trip is well organized, it starts and ends in villages. Our guide provided tons of interesting information about Thai people, customs, nature and places where we walked. They cooked a wonderful lunch with a lot of leaves, barks and other things collected during our walk. They also collected all the junk that unfortunately tourists and other tour guides leave... never again. wonder what was eco about that super commercial place. one point because I think the elephants are treated ok. but squeezed together with hundreds of people it was not quite the nature experience I expected.

My partner and I did the three day hilltribe trek. Although our guide wasn't really that informative, it was a genuine homestay in the mountain village paired with some beautiful scenery and glimpses of how people live in the mountains. Food was great, keep in mind you eat what the villagers eat, all parts of the animal. Bamboo camp is... More

I visited the jungle survival tour with my girlfriend, we had two guides, there where no other participants in our group. We started with a lunch in a village with friendly people from one of the seven other tribes in the mountains. After which the father of the family played a traditional flute was made from bamboo. We drank special... More

We did get forgotten on the early pick up but after a few phone calls the guide came back for us. There were 6 on this trip which was a great number and we all got on really well. Mr P was our guide and is a real character. His English is good although it does take a while to... More

We did the 3 day trekking. Our guide was Ropooh. The walking uphills and downhills was really hard on my legs and knees at times, but the younger people in our group were fine. The first night we stayed in a Karen village called "Baan Dong Goo". I wish the guide had told us more, and translated for us so... More

When you go in and up the stairs, covered in graffiti from happy customers, you can immediately feel that this is a different atmosphere from so many of the iffy tourist trap tour-companies that litter the streets of Chang Mai. Everyone we met there, from the guy behind the desk to the bartender to the various tourguides, is a dime.... More
