I think you should go there on Sunday where you can enjoy the famous walking street. It's not hard to find. I think every taxi driver knows the place. The temple is located in the old town. I stayed at Shane hotel. It took me...More

This place is a beauty! The peace, the beautiful statues, the cosy market, ... It's a must see and also an easy place to find a transport to other temples.

We took a tuk tuk to visit this temple and Wat Chedi. The tuk tuk driver waited for us. We walked around inside and out and 15 minutes was plenty of time to see this temple.

Walk around the temple grounds more than 3 or 4 times. Well worth it. Make sure you visit the chapel and check out the exquisite woodcarvings and northern-style murals. Magnificent bell-shaped stupa.

Really worth the trip, stunning! Go early to avoid the crowd! The steps are fine for most people so don't be tempted with the cable car.

What’s special about this wat is the golden chedi behind the main temple – but otherwise, it’s got nothing over Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phan Tao!

I love this temple so much. The location is good. It is located in Old City. A gold temple, it is so beautiful when you visited at night. I recommend you should go to visit especially at night.

Known as ‘the temple’ to see in Chiang Mai, I actually preferred Wat Chedi Luang, but there is lots to see at this temple. When I was there, I accidentally stumbled across a ceremony welcoming new novice monks, which was lovely to see as I...More
