A family-run home cooking class established in 2001. We began with a small class size. Even though our business has seen tremendous growth, we have decided that this size maintains the personalization and individual attention that each student...more

Yui is a great teacher and with guaranteed small classes you really get the most out of you time here. My wife and I learnt so much and can’t wait to get home and putting our new knowledge into practice.
Loved this class and the group we were with made it all the more enjoyable .
I went with my son and he joined in and we even made the pad Thai together today for dinner .
Even got a lift in the green car...More
This was a terrific cooking experience with an authentic Chiang Mai resident in their local home. You just effuses enthusiasm for food, for her city, and for the classes. She gushes over her dishes and their special ingredients with such energy you can taste them...More
Yui was an awesome instructor who always pushed the bounds of what was "known" in the business and getting down to the exact science. This was also really great since she's traveled the world and explored the cooking/food limitations in various countries, i.e. some spices...More
This was my third cooking class in Thailand and absolutely the one that I was looking for!
What sets this course apart is that the instructor, Yui, teaches you how to adjust the recipe to match your ingredients. Some fish sauce is much saltier than...More
I was recommended A Lot of Thai by a friend of a friend and it did not disappoint.
Yui and her family welcomed us into her home where the serene, purpose built teaching area was clean and organised, ready for our lesson. We had no...More
We booked this cooking class a few days before (which I wouldn’t recommend because her classes fill up and we were lucky to get two spots). Yui is absolutely amazing. The food that we made in her cooking class was the best we’ve had in...More
This is not your typical mass-market cooking class. From the moment you’re picked up, you’re transported into the life, mind, and kitchen of Yui, one of the most interesting and enlightened human beings on this planet.
Despite her celebrity, Yui is just not about that...More
We have ben back twice to enjoy Yui's no nonsense classes. Her depth of knowledge always surprises us. She was choose by Chef Ramsey as her guide for his Northern Thailand show and has consulted in Thai restaurant openings in Hong Kong, Dubai, Rio de...More
This class was awesome! Chef Yui is a great chef and such an interesting person. We started comparing her Pad Thai to the ones we subsequently ate in highly rated restaurants. Hands down the ones we made in her class were better!
TA won't let me post the email address I used but I imagine it's the same one that's on the website. I wonder if Yui's out of town or something. It's worth being persistent if you have the time. It's a fabulous class!

Yui is very accommodating to different needs. As the others have said I would email and ask for for specifics such as having most of the ingredients precut if you want for the younger ones (most of the ingredients are already, not much cutting neccessary). I think the half day would be a good length to keep the kids attention. You watch Yui demonstrate the dish then go to your station where everything is waiting and prepare yourself with her watching over. Then everyone goes to the table to eat. And repeat for each meal. So you do get breaks from the actual cooking. If it helps the kids focus you could have them write down the steps in notebooks while she is demonstrating. I forgot most steps as soon as it was my turn to cook and wish I had written notes like some people in my class. Tons of fun!
