Not more of a commercialized beach like others in Koh Samui. The beach is perfect in case you are seeking tranquility. Also one of the cleaner beaches in Koh Samui. You will still find few restaurants and cafe along the beach.

Went with a group of friends for a break from the noisy Lamaii beach and we loved bang po. We started at 4 monkeys coffee bar (highly recommended!), which was an area with some restaurants and massage places. The beach gets smaller when the tide comes in but maybe there are areas along the beach that are wide all day.

We stayed here for a week in October the rainy season!! We were a little apprehensive about this but need not have worried. The weather was stunning and we only had a few downpours which were over and done with in minutes. Bang Po resort is very quiet and peaceful. The beach is soft and sandy. The water is warm... More

We have visited Samui the last 3 years. The beach at Bang Po over this time has significantly deteriorated. There has been some significant erosion of the beach due to weather and the clearing of natural vines and grasses. Tons of sand has been added to the beach after weather events and this too I believe has eroded and ended... More

We found a lovely almost deserted beach right here and to top it off, we bathed right in front of a small, almost unmanned bar with really cheap beer. I kept coming back to this beach and plan to return next year.

You almost have this beach to yourself. The water was crystal clear, nice temp. The sand is soft (some of the beaches have really course sand) and there are some great restaurants along the beach. Lovely spot to really relax and feel like you are on an island.

We've stayed twice now on villas at beachfront and its a great beach. Have a massage with the waves rolling in, stop for a drink on any of the restaurants, eat and enjoy a relaxed filled day.

This beach may not be the prettiest on the island but it certainly has the tranquility and charm one would expect from a tropical island. It is beautifully quiet and you can actually see the beach rather than the numerous beached holiday makers that overtake and spoil the likes of Chaweng and Lamai. The best coffee shop - 4 Monkeys... This beach is absolutely perfect for those who want to get away from crowded places. The place is virtually empty from tourists and yet there are still enough cafes/restaurants along the coastline to keep you covered.
