There is a place to swim and the water is nice going down the waterfall. But the scenery isn’t that spectacular. It’s more a local play pool for children living in the area. If you’re close I recommend to have a look. But don’t go out of your way to get here.

I parked at the elephant sanctuary and walked up the paved road to the waterfall entrance. Waterfall 1 was OK but several families there so not really a private place to chill. I walked up to number 2 which is a decent hike and will take 15 mins at a decent pace. There's plenty pools up there to relax and one pool further up for swimming. Great views over the valley and out to sea. I chilled here alone for hours. Excellent place. Be careful though... On the way down I was greeted by a king cobra staring me down on the path. I managed to scare it away with sticks so I could pass but a little adrenaline rush right there! Didn't see anyone else the entire time after waterfall 1.

I love nature stuff so has to visit a waterfall, and that’s pretty much what you get! Tucked in the woods down a small road where if you had a decently big vehicle you be pretty screwed driving through. The location itself looks like it recently updated a little. The restrooms has a small 10 Baht charge, as well they are not in the greatest of conditions . You have to pay, but we got our money back! So idk if there is an actuate thing on that! The waterfall is truly a sight to see, can travel up the stream a bit for more privacy, the water very refreshing, and tasted very good. Before tasting make sure no one near by, as well just be careful of the rocks when you jump into the water. There are elephants you can feed, last I asked they took care of them well. Updates in future if anyone knows! Was super hot when we went, and watch out for the mosquitos. Would go back again, backpacking is my thing!

Waterfall beautiful at nam muang 1, elephants kept at bottom to feed do not need to be prodded with a pokey stick!!!spoilt experience completely. Happy to give money to feed elephants, absolutely hate they are kept in a small pen and prodded with a stick to make noises..to imply gratitude or feed me more... I guess meant to be funny and endearing... nothing funny about poking the sensitive skin of these magnificent beasts to get the attention of public... please say how unappealing and wrong this is when you visit. They should be at the haven or samui elephant sanctuary... free and out of harms way!!!
