Depressing place, if you are interested in viewing marine pollution & junk trinklets along with sewage smells go to this place. The highlight was the happy little children.

We booked a trip including James Bond Island and Koh Panyi. Basically it was a stop over for lunch during our trip to James Bond Island. It is very interesting and quite a big floating village. There was a school for children, many shops selling...More

All the speedboat trips up to James Bond Island stop here for lunch and I do wish they didn't. Sure it's unique that it's a floating village - but in reality that means a dirty, smelly little place that's got a load of cheap tourist...More

The village was half an hour by speedboat from James Bond Island. Very colorful village but was from inside it was not very clean. Could see the poverty amongst the people staying there. But overall it was a good experience to be there.

Interesting town not only because it's built on stilts, but because it's entirely muslim. I went during low tide, and it was cool watching the mudskipper fish.

Panyi Village is a floating Muslim village near the James Bond Island with its famous Floating Football Ground. It is accesible by small boats only. I found it to be more of a tourist trap. The village is not exactly floating as most of it...More

Part of the tour when visiting James Bond Island. Fascinating place, a stilted village but quite commercialised with the locals selling souvenirs. A meal was also provided which was quite spicy. The local people are very friendly and helpful, they do not seem to mind...More
