We did 2 tours with these guys and couldn't be happier. Our Food on Foot tour with "Lilly" was the perfect introduction to the street life of Hanoi, great company and great food. We went back to a couple of the places during our stay. Lilly was faultless as a guide. We also took a trip to the Masters Pagoda... More

We booked VAT for a one day trip to Ha Long bay. There was a slight delay in us being picked up at our hotel, however this was no doubt down to the crazy Hanoi traffic! The bus was as described - luxury leather arm chairs, unlimited water, power point to charge your phone (you just need a USB cable,... More

I've done the Hanoi food on foot tour twice now and it's excellent. Our recent tour was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide was fantastic and we ate all of the classic Hanoi specialties. Book this early in your trip to get a taste of Vietnam and see the Old Quarter.

Tried about 6 or 7 types of streetfood-all v good. Also got taken to have egg coffee and egg beer, and also had some rice wine with a king cobra marinading in it. No, really. Our guide really made the trip. His name was Chun/Chung (apologies for not knowing the exact way it is pronounced and spelled!). Ask for him,... More

We arranged a food tour with Awesome Travel and had a great culinary adventure with the help of our guide, Trang (spelling?). We began our tour at a restaurant in which our small group had an entire room to ourselves. Trang had arranged for us to have three dishes here and they were all excellent - especially the cha ca... 3 of my friends and I did a cooking class with Lily and loved it! After picking us up, we let Lily know our various food dislikes (no meat, no deep fried etc), then she took us to the markets and we decided on 4 dishes that we could all eat and bought the ingredients. The riverside location of the... More
