It is a guided tour by the owners and the first thing they show you is the beautiful table cloths and napkins that they hand embroider. Then after their presentation you get to walk around a rickety old house.

I learned more culture of Vietnam from Ancient House. It is good chance for foreign investors to know about Vietnam culture. Thanks,

Noted this in guide book then stumbled across. Simply presented and gives and good impression of middle class living and of the 'tube' type of house. The craft shop on the ground floor has some unusual and classy lacquer ware and jewellery.

While I wouldn't make it the focus of my day it was an interesting walk round a nicely set out traditional house, Not much interpretation of what you are seeing but enough and it is not expensive. Drop in on the way past for a...More

This is typical ancient Vietnamese house. The tour guide there will explain carefully about the architecture and lifestyle in the old time. The ticket is about 10.000VND.

right on one of the main streets in old quarter - this little gem give a nice view of how Vietnamese life in the city was like long ago - the house is beautifully restored and is a classic shop house with a central atrium.

Nothing special to see at all.I have been in far better places, with more to see and much larger buildings. This place takes all of 5 minutes to check out.A few rooms downstairs, then a couple of rooms upstairs. Not really worth the visit

An interesting place to visit but more interesting with a free Hanoi guide to explain the culture and the significance of different aspects of the house. Well worth the entrance fee.
