We saw a performance and therefore got to see the inside - nice opera house. The tour company show "My Village" is a great show and good way to see the inside.

Very nice place to visit with a beautiful parc and some interesting places. The presidential palace compared with the house where Ho Chi Minh used to work is somewat trivial.

Visiting Hanoi it's a must to see this building complex. It truly gives you a glimpse of the history of the place. While it's mentioned as as Hi Chi Minh palace, the complex was in existence much earlier as the seat of government by the...More

This is a nice place. Typical French architecture and lots of interesting information about Uncle Ho. Very nice garden with so many trees and a fish pond.

Though the signage was weak, the building is immense and there is a lot to see - don't miss the upper floors with the heli-pad and "groovy" lounge areas. Also, the basement has a bunker where the family hid out that has maps and old...More

It is in the parkland with One Pillar Pagoda and Ho chi Min's mausoleum, but although it is impressive architecture, it is just a building. At least they didn't threaten me with an AK47 this time like they did when I tried to take a...More

Built for Ho Chi Minh but never really used by him. He built small simple resident on the grounds. Small fish pond and gardens. Well worth the visit of a simple man.

Some distinguished architecture from a previous time mixed with government propoganda, including veneration of old Ho Chi Min. The Water Puppet Theatre (central Hanoi) performance was an exquisite cultural experience. Unique. Tells the story of village life through the seasons and trials and tribulations. No...More
