Large building has displays about each of the ethnic minority groups, including costumes, lifestyle, plus on the grounds there are replica homes from many different groups to walk thru to get a perspective on their living styles, which were very interesting.

Well, this is good place to visit particularly with your young children. I was there on the Christmas time and I had a great time over there.

Museum has nice outdoor exhibit with homes from different regions. We happened to be there when there was a water puppet show taking place. Lots of information inside!

You will need most of the day to thoroughly view everything in this museum. A guide is not necessary as English signage is everywhere. The outdoor exhibits of Ethnic housing and water puppet theatre performances are not to be missed. The on site restaurant did not disappoint. Our only regret, not leaving enough time before closing.

A very nicely laid out museum giving an insight into the 54 different ethnic groupings that live in Vietnam. In the grounds there are interesting replicas of some of the different styles of houses used by these groups. There is also a nice on site restaurant staffed by disadvantaged youngsters.

An interesting museum showing the history of the many ethnic groups in Vietnam. Interesting photto exhibition while we were there. If kids got restless, there is a large outdoor area that is part of the museum, where visitors can watch a water puppet show or walk through the long houses.

With our Hanoi Free Guide at our side, we learned about the fascinating history of the Vietnamese people. The highlight is the outdoor area, with structures moved from their original locations throughout Vietnam showing housing and other important pieces of Vietnamese life in a real setting. Go with a guide to experience the museum to its fullest.
