A great way to see the city, kill some time. Just stroll around the lake and you will see all kind of cool local things.

We took a motorised car along the lake and it was well worth the trip. Just over $20 AUS for an hour it was a nice relaxed ride around, and lots of small local coffee shops, bars and restaurants to stop at on the way.

West Lake no doubt a bigger, better lake for trying water sports, boating, fishing, lazing around, walking and spending quieter moments. It is worth visiting and spending some quality time at West Lake

West Lake is divided into two sides of the street. It is a peaceful setting to relax from the busy rush of Hanoi. You can buy a coconut or feed turtles.

Expecting a casual walk around a sludge-ridden lake, I was exceptionally excited to arrive with my poor defenseless boyfriend to a Swan boat-packed water's edge. I had managed to hide my romantic giddiness towards the clunky cliches for a year, but the jig was up....More

For me, I prefer to rent a bike or take a cyclo(about 5 USD/ hour) to go around the lake. This season, the weather is good for walking as well. There is a nice flower market near by West Lake I've always loved to visit... More
