It is an impressive old gate that was once part of the wall around the city although there is little information about its history. If you walk To find the gate known as Cua O Quan Chuong fund your way to the north east corner of the Old Quarter just beyond the Bach Ma Temple.

This gate is a remnant of the cities gates that were built in the medieval period as the city had a wall around it with many gates and this is the only surviving gate. We were doing a self guided walk around the old quarter and included a visit to the gate. It is interesting to see the gate and... More

It's small gate on one of narrow streets. It's not so impressive. You can just walk around to see normal life in Hanoi. Around is many cheap shops with souvenirs.

this is a few of the remaining landmarks left in hanoi. most of it were bomed. only the gate is left. it is a solid structure and bikes are allowed to go through. it is close to the dong xuan market.

Even it's quite small, it's interesting to see. It used to be one of the gates of Old Hanoi and now they have kept it as part of the landscape. It's interesting to see and you have a lot of life around. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit.

We were able to access this site via foot while walking through the markets. It's an important piece of infrastructure and a symbol of city that has stood the test of time. A must see.

I did a street food tour with novntravel.com and passed this gate at night time. It is so beautiful at night when they turned all the lights on. One of four gates in Hanoi to get inside the town in the past . Luckily, this gate was still remained until now with its charming beauty

This old city gate is one among five famous old gates. Of course, this is just a relic but after having your own photos, don't forget go to a "van than" restaurant (noodle restaurant) and enjoy your breakfast or just go to Vinmart to buy drinks, breads and fruits for your tour around Hanoi with cheap price.
