Boats go out, I suggest, is the best way to experience the mangroves and bird sanctuaries are amazing. You can go up to the top of a tall tree tower, and see 1000 amazing creatures. There is also a crocodile sanctuary where you eat the...More

It was ok but luck is not at our side. The heavy rain cause us to rush instead of enjoying the mangrove forest and the guerilla base. Overall was just ok!

A truly impressive place to visit (organised by Saigon Tours). The mangroves are impressive with abundant wildlife on view (far, far more than the turd-like Indian Sundarbhan!). The boat ride out, which I recommend, is the best way to experience the mangroves and the bird...More

You need to get on board a ferry with other vehicles in order to access can gio. Took the motorboat ride and explored the natural reserves. Traffic is bad during Vietnam holiday.

Me and a friend rode out on bikes, which was interesting in itself. The monkey sanctuary and old war area were quite good; there's even a couple of crocodiles scattered around!

Great value tour $45 from GetYourGuide. 16 people on tour, but we had 25 seat coach, so plenty of space. Our guide, Jay, had only taught himself English 10 months ago, and was great. The coach takes a short ferry to get to monkey island....More

Hi Carol. I'm sure there are nicer places to see animal life than this one. To be honest, most of us and other visitors (especially children) didn't enjoy the visit, quite the opposite. We were scared of the monkeys as they... More
