This was my 3rd time in Vietnam (once in Hanoi & twice in Saigon), missed the first two round as unable to get the tickets. Finally managed to watch it this trip. It was a great show. Although I don't know what is being sang...More

This is a great show, especially for first timers. The place was a bit difficult to find so allow plenty of time. Language was not a barrier as it was easy to see what was going on. We were on the second row so got...More

I saw my first water puppet show in Hanoi 2 years ago and was worried that the Saigon version would not measure up. No worries. The puppets here might be more colourful & the lighting brighter, but it does not distract from the overall experience,...More

Interesting water puppet show, although we sat at the back, we can still see the show clearly as the puppets are quite huge.. the place are air conditioned.. so no worries about the heat..

- We made a call before going to buy tickets. When we reached there less than 15min after the call, the staff told us that the tickets have been sold out. We explained that just now we made a call, they said it’s still available....More

Get a seat near the front! It's hot in the last row, but the AC is great in the lower sections. Entertaining, even without knowledge of Vietnamese language. 6 musicians and 7 puppeteers create a memorable evening.

Water puppets were apparently first conceived by rice farmers who carved them and gave performances during the down time between harvesting one crop and planting the next. There is an orchestra of 6 live musicians and singers to accompany the brightly colored puppets. The songs...More

I don't think many would put this on their bucket list when traveling, but if you want an unusual experience, this is it. Used for storytelling, the puppet show was filled with a lot of action and live music. Personally, I think the live music...More

This was a very interesting cultural experience. Given its history as a story-telling form in Vietnam, it’s worth seeing but it is exactly what it says it is. A quick 45 min puppet show. It had about 16 small sections, each a different story. Enjoyed...More

Lasts maybe a bit less than an hour. Probably cheap enough that you could leave early if the child gets bored. About $US7 or £UK5. Enjoy if you go, try and get seats near the front for best view.
