After a long day on the road visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels and Cao Dao Temple, we ended the day at the water puppet show. Nice typical Vietnamese folk music, I think the storyline was about farming, providing food for family and fighting evil for...More

Even though the story was told in Vietnamese the theme was easy to follow. Very clever puppetry. A highly entertaining show. Well worth a visit.

Purchased tickets through our guide. Was not super keen as it could be boring but it was anything but. There were live musicians accompanying the actual performance. The show was split into difference acts and with music and occasional Vietnamese commentary which nobody understood however...More

We got tickets at our hotel and took a taxi through the bustling streets at Tet. Water Puppetry is a traditional and ancient Vietnamese folk art. The theatre is comfortable with good views of the show. The musicians bring the whole show to life and...More

Water puppet show is just the shows itself. Local travel agents usually organise it with the river cruises that include dinner.
