The water puppet show is an interesting experience, particularly since a ticket is only $8. It's not designed specifically for tourists, and lots of locals do go to the show. The narration is entirely in Vietnamese, but you can basically follow the story lines. The music is all performed live, which was very cool. Not one of my favorite things... More

Tourist guide highly recommended this show and it was full house when we came. Probably there are many similar Chinese shows I saw before that this one seems not really special to me. To certain extent, I felt boring/sleepy in the middle of this 45-minute show because every sessions looked similar (or even the same) along the show, similar puppets,... More

Fun introduction to Vietnam culture, stories and music. Show is about 45 mins long and we did it in conjunction with a river dinner. A nice evening. If you sit in front row of theatre you may get splashed!

Worth seeing if you never saw water puppets before, sort of a wet version of Punch & Judy, with lots of action that is easy to follow. Particularly fun for children but as a lover of theater, I enjoyed it immensely.

Im really glad I went to see the puppet show as it felt like an education about the Vietnamese culture even without understanding- the colors, music, tones, movements and the fact that it has a long history made it worthwhile.

This is the second time I have visited this performance - 12 months apart. It was exactly the same this time as the last, which was fine for me, but I do wonder if they might need to refresh their repertoire at all. The show is a lovely mix of puppets which represent the life of the people in the... More

We went to see the water puppet show and it was really cute. Our son enjoyed it and we all found it to be very, very reasonably priced and enjoyable.

They show was amazing, all in Vietnamese, though a brochure provides the name of each act in English, and it was easy to follow. Classic entertainment with a good story line based on legend with some comedy thrown in for good measure. We booked this show through SaigonTourist as with a couple of other tours and it felt like they... More
